Power Yoga is a general term used to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Though many consider it to be “gym yoga,” this style of practice was modeled on the Ashtanga method.
Power Yoga combines the athleticism of Ashtanga with the flow of a vinyasa class. It gives the teacher flexibility to teach poses in any order, which makes each class different. With emphasis on strength, stability, mental focus, flexibility, balance and breath; Power Yoga at Comal Active is much more than just a stretch class. Prepare to work hard and work up a sweat.
